Main Street, Mathews:

This image reproduces a postcard that was postmarked 1910. Behind the man crossing an unpaved Main Street stand three large commercial buildings; the left one is the recently-built Sibley’s Store, completed in 1900. Just to the right edge of the card, above a white fence, the roof of the Thomas James Store is visible. This glimpse provides the earliest known view of the James Store, by then nearly 100-years old.
