front exterior wall (photographed from inside a shed wing) and
showing the backside of the wall's interior boards. The wall boards are tulip
poplar, beautifully preserved over the years.
Note the half-lapped corner brace, notched into the corner post and
sill, an integral feature of the store's “English frame”
construction. The sills and corner posts are oak.

of iron
