VCRIS (Virginia Cultural Resource Information System) provides interactive technology to access information in the DHR’s Archives. It streamlines data entry and reporting, and offers enhanced functionality for responding to a user's data requests.
Serving as DHR’s online cultural resource inventory, V-CRIS provides information about individual properties, sites, and historic districts. It displays mapping and geographic information, and presents evaluative information about the historic significance of resources.
VCRIS also allows clients to add new information to existing records or create new records in the DHR Archives and resource database.
DHR launched VCRIS in 2013 and we continue to refine the service, adding enhancements as time and budget allow. We welcome your feedback so that we can prioritize enhancements based on the needs of users.
See VCRIS Help & Information for several quick guides to using the system in addition to extensive help documentation inside the application.
